LAS VEGAS — The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs went to overtime in Super Bowl LVIII.
If you were wondering the last time a Super Bowl wasn’t decided in four quarters, you don’t have to look too far back. And for those of you in Houston, you don’t have to look too far.
It happened in 2017 when the Super Bowl was played at NRG Stadium. The Falcons and the Patriots went to overtime in that game with Tom Brady and the Patriots beating Matt Ryan and the Falcons.
It wasn’t easy for the Patriots who erased a 25-point deficit to tie it. They won it on a James White 2-yard touchdown run.
