COLUMBIA, S.C. — It has been quite two-week run for Cardinal Newman senior wrestler Troy Seal.
Two Saturday’s ago, he helped Cardinal Newman capture its first state title on the mat since 2018. This past weekend, Troy won the individual state championship in the 150-pound weight class. This coming weekend, Troy will be in Orlando with three other Cardinal Newman wrestlers for nationals.
Football is where Troy expects to play at the next level. Troy played a number of positions for the Cardinals and while his wrestling weight is 150 pounds, Troy says he can put on weight easily and he will need to do just that when he arrives at his chosen college which is as of right now, to be determined.
