AUGUSTA, Ga. — With the calendar now turning to April, the golfing world will be centered on the Augusta National Golf Club.
The 87th Masters tees off Thursday and Monday marked the first official practice rounds for the competitors. Many golfers have been to the course in previous weeks to practice but Monday, the gates were open to the patrons who made their way to the tee boxes and the greens to watch their favorite golfers go through some of their final preparations for the Masters.
Practice rounds continue Tuesday with the Par 3 contest set for Wednesday.
The first round will tee off Thursday morning with tee times expected to be announced on Tuesday.
