CLEMSON, S.C. — Since returning to his alma mater in 2022, Nick Eason has made an impact at Clemson coaching the defensive tackles and on the recruiting trail.
On Friday, Eason was promoted to associate head coach by head coach Dabo Swinney.
A former First Team All-ACC defensive lineman for Clemson in 2002, Eason spent 10 years in the NFL where he won a Super Bowl with the Pittsburgh Steelers. After retiring in 2013, Eason jumped right into coaching, working as an assistant defensive line coach for the Browns and Titans. He was the defensive line coach for the Titans and Bengals before joining the Auburn staff in 2021 as defensive line coach.
One year later, Eason was back at his alma mater serving as defensive tackles coach/.defensive run game coordinator. He will now add associate head coach to his resume.
