Help a child’s Christmas be more joyful with new toy donations

COLUMBIA, S.C. — It’s that time of year again! Families and friends are getting together for the holidays in the spirit of love, thankfulness and joy. Folks are out shopping for that special gift that will bring happiness to another.

Here’s your chance to bring happiness to someone who may not be as fortunate as yourself this holiday season. News19 WLTX and Salvation Army are partnering once again for Stuff-A-Bus events on Friday, December 1 and December 8. We will be accepting donations of new toys, non-perishable food items, and monetary donations at various Walmart locations in the Midlands.

Just bring an unwrapped new toy — or toys — to one of the following Walmart locations between 6 a.m.-7:30 p.m.:

December 1

December 8

If you choose to bring non-perishable food items, may we suggest:

pop-top cans of meats (chicken or tuna), fruits or vegetablesboxed, single-serve breakfast items (oatmeal, grits, granola bars)peanut buttershelf-stable milk (liquid or powder form)ramen noodlessingle-serve pop-top meals (Chef Boyardee, beef stew, mac & cheese, etc.)baby supplies (wipes, diapers, formula, pop-top baby food)
