Street open in Lexington right after traffic investigation

Northbound lanes of North River Drive/SC-6 at Sunset Blvd. /US-378 were shut downLEXINGTON, S. C. — A car accident between a motorcycle plus car that closed the road in Lexington. The street is now open. Lexington Law enforcement Cpt. Mortenson said any sort of accident investigation team is functioning the area. All lanes from the 900 block of Northern Lake Drive/SC-6 have reopened. The collision was the result of a driver failing to produce the right of way plus striking the motorcycle that was traveling on North River Drive. As a precaution, officials are marking the highway and taking initial dimensions after a car versus motorbike collision The driver of the motorbike was injured and transferred from the scene by ambulance. The collision on Northern Lake Drive/SC-6 near Hamilton Street is causing street closures both northbound plus southbound. Police are requesting drivers alert and be careful for first responders that are on scene working in the particular roadway.
