CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Myles Stute scored 21 points including a 5-of-6 performance from beyond the arc as South Carolina defeated Virginia Tech 79-77 Friday night in Charlotte in the three-game He Gets Us Hall of Fame Series.
B.J. Mack returned to his hometown of Charlotte and responded with 19 points including the game-winner with 20.9 seconds left on the clock in regulation. Ta’Lon Cooper and Jacobi Wright each scored 12 points with Meechie Johnson putting in 11.
South Carolina (2-0) faces VMI Monday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Colonial Life Arena.
Friday’s win in Charlotte marked the 100th career victory for USC head coach Lamont Paris.
