COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina junior All-American Hannah Darling is the reigning SEC Golfer of the Week as announced last week by the league office.
This marks the second time Darling has received the honor this season and the third time of her career.
Darling is coming off a pair of top-five finishes for the fourth-ranked Gamecocks, including her first career win at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate which was held from March 4-6. Darling recorded a three-day total of 208 (-5) to earn co-medalist honors.
The Scotland native followed up that performance with a T-2nd finish at the Valspar Augusta Invitational last weekend. She shot 211 (-5) en route to runner-up medalist honors.
The Gamecocks will be off from competition until the Old Barnwell Match Play event March 25-26. South Carolina is the host school for the inaugural event which will be played at Old Barnwell outside of Aiken, S.C.
Darling will be competing at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur which tees off April 3 at Champions Retreat Golf Club just outside of downtown Augusta.
