FOREST ACRES, S.C. — For the third consecutive year, River Bluff is the champion of the Forest Acres Classic hosted by A.C. Flora High School.
The Gators defeated Dutch Fork 12-2 in six innings in Thursday’s championship game at Falcon Field.
River Bluff starter Weston Grant did it on the mound and at the plate, picking up the win while delivering a 2-for-2 performance batting with a home run and three RBIs.
Coastal Carolina signee Walker Mitchell went 2-for-4 in Thursday’s championship game and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
