CLINTON, S.C. — Crosby James scored 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field to help Presbyterian College defeat The Citadel 71-54 Monday night at the Templeton Center in Clinton.
The Ridge View graduate came off the bench to join four PC players who scored in double figures led by Marquis Barnett who led the way with 20.
The win spoiled the return of Irmo’s Winston Hill to the PC campus. Hill spent three seasons with the Blue Hose but with the Citadel offering a graduate program, he transferred to the school where his dad starred back in the day. Hill scored nine points as The Citadel fell to 0-3 on the season. The Bulldogs opened the season with road trips to N.C. State and Boston College.
The Bulldogs will host North Greenville Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
Presbyterian College, who won just five games last season, is off to a 3-0 start with the first win of the season coming at Vanderbilt in Nashville on November 7. The Blue Hose will be in Jacksonville this weekend for the First Coast Classic.
