Another Lower Richland resident, Jennifer Mancke states she wants the same team that protested a new sewer system in Hopkins in 2014, to join her within the fight against rezoning. “We understood development was coming and knew the infrastructure was not ready for that, ” Mancke explained. “I want to place a call out to all the people involved in keeping the particular sewer out of Lower Richland. Thinking back to when we reached the county council in the past, very proudly on the wall structure it said ‘Uniquely non-urban, Uniquely urban” and they’ve taken that away. ”The planning commission did not get any action or create any changes on Wed, but says they want to concentrate discussions on manufactured houses and where they along with the rezoning code in the next meeting.
