The particular collision happened a little just before 5 pm and shut the road for a time. LEXINGTON, S i9000. C. — A motorcyclist is dead after a car accident on Hwy 378 within Lexington. According to South Carolina Freeway Patrol trooper Nicholas Pye the accident happened just a little before 5pm near Lewie road. Trooper Pye declared that a 2004 Kawasaki motorbike was traveling east upon HWY 378 when a 2014 Toyota sedan making a switch west from Lewie Street onto Hwy 378 hit the motorcyclist. The driver from the Toyota was uninjured. The particular motorcyclist was pronounced lifeless at the scene. The road had been closed for hours. The incident remains under investigation.
