‘Sole Stepping’ put thousands of sneakers on kids feet this season, helping five Midlands primary schools. BATESBURG-LEESVILLE, S. D. — Kids across Lexington County are lacing upward brand new shoes, thanks to a nearby nonprofit. A Batesburg-Leesville not for profit organization, SOLE Stepping, is certainly making this all possible for a large number of students. SOLE Stepping offers new socks and sneakers to elementary schools, using a purpose of inclusion. About fifty volunteers stepped up for responsibility at Batesburg-Leesville Primary College, bright and early Wednesday morning. “These kids are available in, and they have shoes that have no bottoms or socks which have holes or are previous, ” volunteer Charles Caughman said. “To be able to place these new shoes plus new socks on these types of kids is like giving a present of God to them. “RELATED: Lexington non-profit helping children kick off the holidays with a new set of sneakers”I’m all about the kids, inch volunteer Mary Caughman stated. ” I’m all about viewing the smiles on the kid’s faces. I think it’s only a great community outreach plan that’s needed in all the schools. “Finding the perfect pair can sometimes have a few tries. “Let skip Mary go find several new shoes that will are more effective, ” Mary said. Yet once these volunteers perform find a pair that’s flawlessly snug, the kids’ confronts light up. “It makes you really feel happy, ” recipient Knowland Brunson said. “I feel great because I’m getting brand new shoes, ” recipient Allie Montgomery said. SOLE walking distributed shoes to several institutions across Lexington county this particular December. Their distribution schedules were December 1, two, 7, 9 and fourteen.
