AUGUSTA, Ga. — Jensen Castle was not at her best physically as she has been dealing with a rib injury.
In spite of the adversity,. Castle made the cut for the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on the number at +2.
The former U.S. Amateur Champion who starred at Gray Collegiate Academy finished tied for 26th after shooting a 5-over par 77 in a very windy final round which also included a suspension of play for a few hours due to inclement weather which rolled through Augusta.
Castle is in her senior season with the University of Kentucky golf team which will be in action at the 2023 Southeastern Conference Championship at Greystone Golf & Country Club in Hoover, Alabama, beginning April 12.
