Fuel leak shuts down Lexington County intersection

C. — Lexington County fire deck hands and county officials are usually warning drivers to use extreme care due to a gas leak which has shut down a local road. The particular county announced on social media marketing that an active gas outflow at Old Cherokee Street and Cherokee Trail provides led to the roadway becoming closed temporarily. In the meantime, motorists are being urged to avoid the particular intersection. While maps display the crossroads to be in the mostly open area, Outdated Cherokee Road splits from the well-traveled Sunset Boulevard plus crosses another often utilized route, North Lake Generate. While the incident is near to the Town of Lexington, law enforcement said it is just outside the town limits, adding that the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is going to be directing traffic until the streets are cleared.
