COLUMBIA, S.C. — It’s been a mixed bag for Spencer Rattler as the trigger man for the Gamecock offense.
The former Oklahoma quarterback has four touchdown passes to seven interceptions through five games.
But after two games against Charlotte and South Carolina State, Rattler and his unit had what is known as “get right games”. The 49ers and Bulldogs provided a chance for the Gamecock offense to go through a reset of sorts, scoring a combined 106 points.
As Carolina prepares to face #13 Kentucky, the early stages of Rattler’s tenure suggests he is a force in the lockerroom as a leader, something that is not lost on the head coach who has seen first hand Rattler’s rapport with his teammates.
