WINNSBORO, S.C. — Jalen Swilley is the biggest player in the starting lineup for Fairfield Central and he is an anchor on the offensive line at right tackle.
He can also play defensive tackle and that versatility will be utilized by Anderson University where Swilley has committed. Anderson is led by former Furman head football coach Bobby Lamb and Fairfield Central head coach Demetrius Davis says Jalen has a chance to be special for a program that is set to make its debut in football next fall.
Jalen has a high standard which has been set at home by his mother who just happens to be the school principal. Dr. Tracie Swilley says Jalen has never had a problem meeting her expectations while at the same time, carving out his own path of success.
He says when he gets to Anderson University in the Upstate, he will be majoring in cybersecurity.
