Food
The peach cobbler with ice cream was DELICIOUS. The flavor of the savory foods were muted. I can taste the seasonings and spices, they just seem muted. It didn't take very long to be prepared and presented to us. So we didn't wait a long time to be served food. I got the sirloin steak but had a different side. I had the rice with beans with the steak. The rice was too wet. The beans were good but tasted like canned beans to me. The steak was a little dry and not flavourful enough. The wind selection was very nice.
Service
I visited on a Tuesday night at 8 pm. I had a reservation. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive.
Atmosphere
I liked the table decor. The lighting was warm and inviting. But the music was too loud for an intimate experience on the inside. Patrons spoke louder than conversational level to compensate. This caused an overall loud environment.
I chose patio seating. It was more quiet and intimate. But It was hot and muggy. Several large ceiling fans helped to prevent overheating.
I was told by a coworker that you would be able to see the city lights. The building isn't tall enough for that. Your back drop is a large tree with stringed lights over a water fountain. You overlook a busy 4 way intersection with a traffic light. City folk loudly held personal convos as they walked by, people were leaving work, people were drunk and stumbling (1-2 people). This took away from a romantic atmosphere, which is what I expected.
Overall
I wanted an intimate dinner with my husband for our anniversary. I got most of what I wanted.

My boyfriend and I ate here last night and it was the best food we’ve had in a while here in Columbia. Started off with the fried green tomatoes (which are a MUST!) - first time trying them and I cannot stop thinking about them. I got the 10 oz filet and my boyfriend got the 14 oz ribeye special. Side of bacon mac, of course. The food was excellent and filled with lots of flavor, and lovely staff and service. They make great, strong drinks too! Definitely will be back!!

My husband and I was celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary and Madison was our server. She was the best! Friendly, knowledgeable, professional and always attentive.
Food was delicious, rich in flavor, texture and taste. Exceptional fine dining and rich desserts.
We had the crab cake for an appetizer. Very flavorful, delicious and not overly cooked, watery or tasteless.
The filet mignon, seared scallops with mash potatoes were delicious.
My stuffed peppers with shrimp added was worth the wait. The flavor of the beans and rice along with the mix of green onions reminded me of a Louisiana/creole dish.
The peppers were baked just right, no soggy texture and no hard crunch.
The cinnamon roll cheesecake was rich in flavor and the vanilla creme brulee was light, crunchy, and had a delicious vanilla flavor.
Madison also offered us a glass of complimentary champagne. She was truly the best!
Located on the 2nd floor of the building,
The atmosphere was more intimate with an open concept and inviting decor.
This was a memorable experience for both of us and we will certainly be back!

This was my first time at Saluda’s and my dining experience was excellent. I got the halibut , steak tartare, fried green tomatoes and the summer salad all were excellent !! The server was so nice but not overly nice , she was balanced. I appreciated that she didn’t interrupt too much. Oh yeah I tried my friends sweet tea pork chops , ummmm yeah I’ll be getting that entree upon return!!!
