CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney spent a good portion of his Tuesday news conference talking about consistency in winning and preparation.
The Tigers are coming off their first win of the season over a ranked opponent, a 31-23 victory over Notre Dame. The win was the 166th of Swinney’s career which moves him past Frank Howard for the most wins all-time in the history of Clemson football.
But Swinney says the way a program reaches greatness is to prepare the same each week whether the game is for a national championship of week three of the regular season.
