Several boaters meet up at Exotic Beach every Wednesday throughout the summer to raise money for your organization’s summer camp for kids. RIVER MURRAY SHORES, S. Chemical. — Every Wednesday mid-day from May to Aug for the last six years, several Lake Murray boaters happen to be getting together in the name of foods, friends and fundraising. They will call it Wacky Wednesday. May summertime tradition in Lexington county for a good trigger. The last two years the fundraiser was on pause due to the pandemic. “It was for people to come together on the river. We started having several restaurants to donate as well as people started giving all of us money and then we required something to do with this extra money that individuals were raising and discovered the organization called Homeless Forget about, ” Sharon Jones, coordinator said. The group focuses on increasing money specifically for Homeless Simply no More’s summer camp meals, items and activities. The kids included are five to 12 years old. We all just wanted to be able to assist children have a little bit much better opportunities in life, ” Jones said. “The ones that may donate, every dollar issues, ” Seth Lyell, attendee said. “It’s extraordinarily essential and people come out and they contribute a little bit of money, they consume some great food, have some excellent company. “”I’ve always resided my life by the saying that a person make a living by what you get, however, you make a life by what a person give, ” Ken Jones, event planner said.
