Columbia Fireflies season opener is rained out

The Fireflies first game since 2019 will not take place until Wednesday night in Augusta.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — The Columbia Fireflies will have to wait another night before beginning a new season.

Their game against Augusta at SRP Park was postponed due to rain. The game will be made up Thursday as a part of a doubleheader with Wednesday night set to be the first game for the Fireflies since 2019. The start time for tomorrow’s contest remains 7:05 pm.

The Fireflies return home to Segra Park on May 11 to take on the Charleston RiverDogs for six games.
