ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Calvin McCutcheon scored a game-high 21 points as Benedict College defeated Claflin University 81-73 Thursday evening at the Tullis Arena in Orangeburg.
Damarius Wash led Claflin with 15 points.
Benedict placed six players in double figures with Marshaun West scoring 17 points. Tim Moore, Asanti Price and Malachi McCoy all scored 11 points each, while Brandon Smith chipped in 10 points.
Benedict (13-0) travels to Clark Atlanta on Saturday. Clafin (6-7) faces Morris College Saturday in Greenville in the HBCU MLK Invitational.
