CAMDEN, S.C. — Less than a week ago, Joyce Edwards was on the court for her final game with his Camden teammates.
Edwards played like a 5-star prospect as Camden won its second consecutive 3A state championship.
The USC signee is rated as the #2 prospect nationally and has been receiving her share of national attention. Edwards was named a Naismith High School Girls First Team All-American on Wednesday and she is one of five finalists for the Jersey Mike’s Naismith Trophy Girls High School Player of the Year.
In the classroom, Joyce is sporting a 5.277 grade point average and when she arrives at South Carolina, she will attend the Honors College with the goal of becoming an environmental lawyer, a career goal which would come in conjunction with what she hopes is a successful WNBA career.
