IRMO, S.C. — When Aaron Brand took over the football program at Irmo High School in 2019, Bryant “BJ” Ham was an eighth grader who caught Brand’s eye.
Five seasons later, Irmo is 12-0 and in the third round of the state playoffs for the first time since 2010. BJ has helped pave the way for that run as he is a starting guard on the offensive line while also being called upon to play on the defensive line.
In the classroom, BJ has a 3.6 grade point average and once his college plans are set, he plans on majoring in finance.
