SOUTH COLUMBIA, Columbia — South Carolina fell behind 17-4 to Wofford in the first six minutes. The Terriers ultimately led 34-17 at halftime of Wednesday’s charity exhibition benefitting the Maui Strong Fund.
But the Gamecocks flipped the script in the second half and rallied for a 60-57 victory over the Terriers.
Former Wofford forward B.J. Mack who is now at Carolina led all scorers with 14 points. Mack played three seasons at Wofford (2020-23) appearing in 85 games (69 starts) averaging 14.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.
Denmar-Olar product Zachary Davis added 13 points.
South Carolina opens the regular season Monday night against USC Upstate with tipoff set for 7:00 p.m. at the Colonial Life Arena.
