NEWBERRY, S.C. — It has been a little more than five months since Newberry College defeated Mars Hill for the SAC Championship.
That game was on Saturday, November 12. The next day, the NCAA Division II playoff bracket was announced and Newberry College was snubbed, even though fellow SAC members Wingate and Limestone made the field of 28 teams.
Since then, the Wolves have gone through winter workouts which led into spring drills which wrapped up Saturday with the Spring Game.
The two-time SAC Champions have to find a replacement for two key starters on offense. Dre Harris, an all-conference selection at quarterback, has exhausted his eligibility and All-America running back Mario Anderson transferred to South Carolina.
The 2023 season will kick off September 2 with a road trip to Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.
