Columbia has another jazz event on the way. The Soda Town Jazz Festival takes place in the Koger Center for the Artistry on November 27. The big event is headlined by saxophonist Boney James and guitar player Norman Brown, two significant jazz players, with the second option being touted as one of the “greatest guitarists of all time, ” within an August 16 press release launching the event. The event’s selection is further bolstered simply by local performers Terrence Youthful, a guitarist, (and their backing group The GEWANDTHEIT BAND), guitarist Sam “Bassman” Jenkins and saxophonist Dante Lewis and his backing music group.
