IRMO, S. C. — Lexington Richland 5 attorney, Andrea Whitened, notified the board upon Wednesday that she would not be working for them, with a notice of resignation. School Panel Chairwoman, Jan Hammond, states her and the rest of the plank feel completely blindsided. “I’ve always had the highest relation for Mrs. White, not just in legal council yet I felt like she was obviously a friend to the district for several years and I really thought the lady might of talked in my opinion about something like this, inch Hammond stated. Hammond believes this portion of the letter could be referring to the particular procurement audit that the area revealed in June. The very first phase of the audit extends back to 2012, and the college board paid to investigate many years going further back too. “You can’t help yet wonder did the review bring on things that were too much for her to remain in our authorities, ” Hammond said. In her notice, White said, “When the school board fails to seek advice from me prior to making a lawful decision that could adversely influence the board or the college district; ignores my recommendations; and/or does not provide comprehensive and accurate facts about the matter, I am placed in a posture where I cannot represent that will client without compromising my very own integrity and professional popularity. “The school district states despite losing White, they are going to continue with the procurement review. According to Hammond, White by no means served as General Authorities for the district because they acquired several lawyers working for all of them at once. The board identified to hire a General Council in-may, and officially appointed Keep Bradley to be the new region general council.
