The Chapin teen is fundraising for a field trip simply by cleaning her community one particular trash bag at a time. CHAPIN, S. C. — Morgan Murphy is a sophomore with Chapin High School, raising cash to go to Europe by cleaning her community. “I thought that all it would be a good idea to have a fundraiser… I could pick up the garbage, help the community and ideally get a few dollars, inch Murphy said. To raise sufficient money to go on the Western european trip, Murphy is cleaning trash in exchange for contributions to her travel funds. “I’ve gotten a couple donations which were $100, some were $25, ” Murphy said excitedly. “People are really into this particular. “Residents in Chapin are usually keeping track of Murphy’s efforts upon Facebook and donating cash to her trip once garbage is picked up from about their neighborhood. Morgan’s mother, Rebecca Murphy, says the girl family has never seen that much litter before. “Our loved ones has actually moved 4 times.
