COLUMBIA, S.C. — State championships in baseball and softball will be decided potentially as early as tonight.
Hammond and Cardinal Newman squared off in game one of the state championship series in baseball and it was the Skyhawks edging out Cardinal Newman 9-8. Game two is tonight at Cardinal Newman.
In softball, Wilson Hall defeated Cardinal Newman 10-8 and could close out the series with a win tonight at Patriots Park in Sumter.
