Believe arrested, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department investigating April nine incidentWEST COLUMBIA, S. D. — Deputies say children sustained a gunshot injury after an incident that will occurred in West Columbia on April 9. Lexington County Sheriff’s Office reviews Jeremy Gerome Junious, thirty four, of Columbia, shot their way into a home within West Columbia and changed gunfire with the resident. Junious, the resident, and a kid at the residence on Drayton Hall Drive suffered minimal injuries during the incident. Researchers believe the incident was obviously a result of a custody question between Junious and the kid’s mother. According to investigators, Junious arrived at the Drayton Corridor Drive address and photo off the door knob to achieve entrance to the home. Junious and the man inside the house exchanged gunfire and each men were injured. Junious then went upstairs plus retrieved his child from your home, and left. Deputies responding to the incident discovered Junious in his vehicle together with his child in his lap. The kid had sustained a minor gunshot wound to the leg. Junious, the male victim as well as the child were transported for an area hospital for therapy. Junious was arrested Wednesday, April 19, after released from the hospital. He has already been charged with attempted homicide, discharging a firearm right into a dwelling, first degree robbery and possession of a tool during a violent crime.
